Darren Purse

March PotM is Darren Purse. As if to further illustrate his improvement since Irvine took charge at Wednesday he wins it two months on the bounce. He now adds a great strength to the back four, albeit still with a few mishaps here and there. Although his improvement in undeniable, it still hasn’t stopped him being on the receiving end of negative comments from many bitter and angst-ridden Wednesday fans.

Taking both the TITSS and ASS awards Dareen's nearest challenger was Lee Grant with James O'Connor the only other player to attract pointage in every game. In a ten point month it is interesting to note that five of the top six were defenders.
