Player of the Month - April/May

Darren Purse

Owls captain, Darren Purse, scooped his third award in as many months with another series of performances that were unfortunately insufficient to keep us up. As the season drew to a close, we were all expecting the worst to come. Sadly it did, and we're now yet again in the dreaded third division. Despite this, in the last few games we have seen a level of commitment and performance from old Dezza worthy of this award, and worthy of a place at S6 next season. With us looking likely to lose some players in our defence next season it is important we keep hold of the ones that can help us maintain a solid back four.

The only competition for the top spot this month came from the consistent James O'Connor, who missed out on the TITSS prize by just two points. That said, the other players to receive points in every game were Nolan and Varney (a sign that Hazel should maybe try and keep them with us next season?)

Individual MotM:

Bristol City- Purse

Middelsborough- Purse

Sheffield United- O'Connor

Cardiff- O'Connor.

Crystal Palace- O'Connor.

Will this third award of the season be enough to earn Purse the coveted Owls Alive Player of the Season award? Watch this space to see...

Cheers,

Your Number One Detective, Billumbo.
