Player of the Season 2008/09

Irrespective of that goal against that team Marcus Tudgay's consistency of performance throughout the season in whatever random position he was asked to play in has seen the ultra reliable player pick up his first Star Ratings trophy.

By the end of March the Owls Alive Massive had proferred 389 stars in his direction, over 60 more than his nearest challenger, the much maligned, Richard Wood who snatched second place from Oscar winner Lee Grant who doesn't add another trophy to his cabinet but is to be congratulated for attracting the 326 stars that are a mark of his level of display as our only ever-present in 2008/09.

Fans' favourite and golden boy, Tommy Spurr scored a highly respectable 316 stars and but for a slow start to the season Leon Clarke fortunes have surely turned with two player of the month awards and an impressive total of 180 stars.

Master tactician and SWOT analyst Brian Laws' random team selection and injuries combined to prevent other players from garnering similar returns but special mention goes to Michael Gray, Steve Watson and Darren Potter who woulda, coulda shoulda been contenders had their returns to appearances been extrapolated across the entire season.

The only thing we'd like is, that you ONLY do it if you actually attended the game, or saw the WHOLE game on TV, not highlights or media reports.

Please only score a player once, do not give him two lots.

For example if Leon Clarke is your 5 Star player, he cannot be your 3 Star Player as well (or anything else for that matter), he'll just have to wait for the next game to get more points.

You don't have to give 5 stars ... or rate 4 players ... if you think there was only one decent performance (or 2 or 3) and the best was a 3 star, then that's fine; it's your opinion that's valued.
